Symbol Mapping
Convert TradingView symbols to broker-specific symbols automatically
Symbol Mapping allows you to automatically convert symbol names from TradingView (or other signal sources) to your broker's specific symbol format. This eliminates the need to create separate alerts for different brokers and ensures your signals work seamlessly across various trading platforms.
Introduction
Different forex brokers often use different symbol naming conventions. For example, while TradingView uses "EURUSD" for the Euro/US Dollar pair, your broker might use "EURUSD.m", "i.EURUSD.micro", or "EURUSD.ecn". Symbol Mapping automatically converts these symbols in real-time, acting as a translation layer between TradingView and your broker to ensure your trades execute with the correct symbol names.
Automatic Conversion
Automatically converts TradingView symbols to your broker's format without manual intervention.
Multi-Broker Support
Configure different mappings for different symbols and brokers all in one place.
Real-time Processing
Symbol conversion happens in real-time as signals are received and processed.
Key Benefits
Simplified Setup

Step 2: Enable Symbol Mapping
Use the toggle switch to enable symbol mapping. When disabled, all your configured mappings are preserved but not applied to incoming signals.
Step 3: Add Symbol Mappings
For each symbol you want to map:
- Enter the TradingView symbol in the 'From (TradingView Symbol)' field (e.g., 'EURUSD')
- Enter your broker's symbol in the 'To (Broker Symbol)' field (e.g., 'EURUSD.m')
- Click the 'Add' button to add the mapping to your list
- Repeat for any additional symbols you want to map
Step 4: Save Your Configuration
After adding all your desired symbol mappings, click the Save button to apply your configuration. Your mappings will then be active and ready to convert incoming signals.
Step 5: Test Your Configuration
After saving your mappings, send a test signal from TradingView to verify that the symbol conversion is working correctly. Check your MetaTrader 5 terminal to ensure trades are being placed with the correct symbol names.
Finding Your Broker's Symbols: Use the correct symbol format from your MetaTrader Symbols List (Ctrl+U
). For MT5, use the symbol from the Symbol column. You can also check the Market Watch window to see the exact symbol names used by your broker.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
Possible Causes:
- The mapped symbol doesn't exist in your MetaTrader 5 terminal
- Symbol mapping is configured but not enabled
- Typo in the broker symbol name
Solutions:
- Check Market Watch in MetaTrader 5 to verify symbol names
- Ensure symbol mapping is enabled in your dashboard
- Double-check spelling and case of mapped symbols
Check These Items:
- Symbol mapping is enabled (toggle switch is on)
- The 'From' symbol exactly matches what TradingView is sending
- No extra spaces or special characters in the mapping
- Changes have been saved properly
Common Issues:
- Duplicate 'From' symbol already exists
- Both 'From' and 'To' fields must be filled
- Special characters may not be supported
Each 'From' symbol can only have one mapping. To change an existing mapping, delete the old one first, then add the new mapping.
