Connection Process


Connecting your Telegram account is a simple, secure process that takes just a few minutes. The system uses time-limited tokens to ensure maximum security during the connection process.

Open Alerts Dashboard

Navigate to your TradeSgnl Alerts Dashboard and go to Notification Settings. Click the QR code icon next to Telegram to start the connection process.

Choose Connection Method

A modal will appear with your unique connection token. You can either scan the QR code with your mobile Telegram app or click 'Open in Telegram' for direct access.

Start Bot Conversation

After scanning or clicking the link, you'll be taken to @TradeSgnl_Alerts_bot. Tap the 'START' button to initiate the secure connection with your account.

Connection Confirmed

You'll receive a confirmation message in Telegram and see the 'Connected' status in your dashboard. You're now ready to receive instant alerts!

Using Telegram Alerts


Once connected, Telegram alerts work automatically based on your alert preferences configured in the Alerts Dashboard. No additional setup is required - alerts will be delivered instantly as events occur.

Connection Management


Managing your Telegram connection is simple and can be done entirely through the TradeSgnl dashboard. You have full control over when to connect, disconnect, and monitor the connection status.

Connection Status Monitoring
  • Connected Status

    Shows your Telegram ID and 'Connected' badge when active

  • Disconnected Status

    Shows 'Not connected' with connect button when inactive

  • Connecting Status

    Shows loading state during token generation and connection

Disconnection Process

To disconnect your Telegram account:

  • Click the disconnect icon in the Notification Settings
  • Confirm disconnection in the modal dialog
  • UI immediately updates to disconnected state
  • You can reconnect at any time using the same process

Troubleshooting


If you're experiencing issues with the Telegram integration, here are common problems and their solutions:

Common Causes:

  • Poor lighting or camera focus
  • QR code expired (10-minute limit)
  • Outdated Telegram app

Solutions:

  • Use the 'Open in Telegram' button instead
  • Generate a new token if expired
  • Update your Telegram app to the latest version

Possible Issues:

  • Incorrect bot username or chat
  • Bot temporarily offline
  • Connection token already used or expired

Solutions:

  • Ensure you're chatting with @TradeSgnl_Alerts_bot
  • Generate a fresh connection token
  • Wait a few minutes and try again

Check These Items:

  • Telegram connection shows as 'Connected' in dashboard
  • Telegram notifications enabled for specific alert types
  • Bot chat not blocked or deleted
  • Alert types are properly configured and enabled

Check the Alert History tab to see if alerts are being generated and their delivery status.

Yes, the integration uses cryptographically secure tokens, single-use authentication, and stores minimal data (only your Telegram ID). The connection process is designed with security as a top priority.

No, once connected, you'll receive alerts automatically even if you close the chat. Telegram delivers messages to your account regardless of whether the specific chat is open.

Each TradeSgnl subscription can be connected to one Telegram account at a time. You can disconnect and reconnect to a different account if needed.

If you block the bot or delete the chat, alerts will fail to deliver. You'll need to unblock the bot and ensure the chat exists, or disconnect and reconnect your Telegram account.
